The CHARO Business
& Financial Center (BFC) offers fully integrated multi-faceted solutions
to new business owners, business entrepreneurs, corporations and the community.
The BFC provides tools and relevant information to help individuals achieve
growth and success.
The
services and tools provided include:
- FINANCIAL
SERVICES: The CHARO BFC creates new financial relationships in a bilingual
and bicultural environment, a necessary component in accessing the Latino
business community. The BFC links small mid-size businesses and consumers
to financial institutions, provides access to commercial, equity, mortgage,
capital, and other financial products. Services are provided at no cost
to small businesses.
- TOOLS FOR BUSINESS SUCCESS:
Training for independent small business owners. Pay rates for 850+ jobs;
Business Start-Up Kit, Loan Payment Calculator, 85 business related online classes,
750+ business books, new hire email, Employer's Kit,
contacts for your county's largest employers AND more!
- TECHNICAL
ASSISTANCE:
The BFC provides individualized one-on-one counseling and assessments, credit
counseling, financial information assistance and referral services.
- ENTREPRENEUR
TRAINING PROGRAM (ETP): The BFC Entrepreneur Training Program includes
training in business management, business & marketing planning and developing
healthy financial relationships.
- SMALL
BUSINESS CONTRACT PROCUREMENT: The CHARO Contract Procurement Center
(CPC) is the link for small businesses and purchasing agents alike where
information and resources on contract procurement and certification can
be acquired.
- CHARO
ONLINE BIDCENTER MARKETPLACE
The BidCenter Marketplace is an online community of buyers and suppliers.
All transactions are completed electronically through the Internet. The
goal of the Marketplace is to provide companies and government entities
an opportunity to purchase goods and services from minority owned businesses.
- CHARO
BUSINESS INCUBATOR: The CHARO Business Incubator is a 36,000 sq. ft.
shared services facility that promotes business enterprise development within
our community by helping young firms survive and grow during the start-up
period. The Business Incubator will house approximately 40 businesses, including
build to suit spaces. Space is now available for 10-15 tenants. Call (323)
